Most Afghan people are struggling to provide sufficient and good quality food to their families. Known as the 'Poor Person's Meat', soybean is an excellent source of protein, fibre and other key nutrients. This catalogue, the first of its kind in Afghanistan, is the outcome of two years of trials to identify and measure key characteristics of soybean varieties in the country. It provides a template that will be continually updated as new varieties are released and older ones are withdrawn from the national seed production system
